Saint Louis U’s 60-56 loss Wednesday dropped the Billikens to 7-15 all-time against Missouri State, including a 3-8 record in Springfield that includes five consecutive losses at the Hammons Center.
The last Saint Louis win at Missouri State was on Feb. 22, 1995.
The Billikens fell to 4-2 on the season going into Saturday night’s 7 p.m. home game against Pacific at Scottrade Center.
Missouri State, which lost a controversial game in St. Louis last season on an Ian Vouyoukas tip-in at the buzzer, improved to 3-1.
The Bears led 30-19 at halftime as they hit 65 percent of their shots (13 of 20) and made four 3-pointers.
The Billikens outscored MSU 37-30 in the second half.
SLU hit three 3-pointers in the final 35 seconds — two from junior guard Kevin Lisch and one from senior forward Luke Meyer — to trim the deficit to 59-56 with 5.8 seconds remaining. But the Billikens could not get any closer.
Lisch and junior forward Barry Eberhardt led the Billikens with 16 points apiece. Meyer finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds for his second career double-double.
