Could the Billikens keep up the momentum gained from playing the Musketeers tough? Or would they continue their road woes of the past?
Kevin Lisch and Danny Brown helped provide the answer as the duo each scored a team-high 14 points in a 64-55 victory over the Spiders for the team’s second Atlantic 10 Conference road victory this season.
Saint Louis (13-10 overall, 4-5 in A-10 play) had four players in double figures: junior guard Lisch, senior guard Brown, junior guard Tommie Liddell III (12 points) and junior forward Barry Eberhardt (10).
Brown and Eberhardt both provided a big spark off the bench.
SLU led 28-21 at halftime and outscored Richmond (12-10, 5-4) 16-6 over the final 4 minutes and 15 seconds.
Senior center Bryce Husak had a career-best nine rebounds as the Billikens outrebounded Richmond by a 41-27 margin. SLU had 13 offensive rebounds, which the Billikens turned into 17 second-chance points.
